Legacy Obituary changed from Narciso Ybarra, 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born on October 29, 1930, in Banquette, Texas, to Francisco Ybarra and Adela Gonzalez Ybarra. Narciso was a 1949 graduate of Agua Dulce High School who went on to enlist and proudly serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a farmer and then served in the postal service until his retirement. He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, camping, and hunting. Narciso was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Hilda Ybarra; parents, Francisco & Adela Ybarra; daughter, Melinda Garcia; stepson, Reynulfo G. Trevino; and siblings, Frank Ybarra, Jr., and Simona Saenz. He is survived by his loving daughters, Melissa Falcon and Monica Hernandez; siblings, Calixtro Ybarra, Anna Ybarra, Bruno Ybarra, Flora Ybarra, Julia Rower, Linda Ybarra, and Joe Ybarra; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A Chapel Service with a Holy Rosary will be held from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM at Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas, followed by a Christian Burial with Military Honors at New Collins Cemetery. Arrangements are by Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E.
