Cynthia Lynn Freeman, known affectionately as Cindy, was born on September 17, 1969 in Dallas, Texas. A loving and resilient woman, Cindy carried an infectious spirit that left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She grew up in Mineola, TX. In the summer of 1986, before Cindy’s Junior year of high school, she met her future husband Jack while riding a bike with her sisters Kim and Tammy in Galveston, TX. Little did Cindy know that her sandal slipping off of her foot while peddling the bike, would be her Cinderella moment with Jack. Shortly after graduating the Freeman’s lovingly took Cindy in where they lived in Midlothian, TX. In August of 1988, Cindy and Jack moved to Hurst, TX where they attended college and began the start of their journey together. Eventually after almost three years of falling in love, and Cindy making a secret trip to Germany to visit Jack in the Navy, the two returned to the states engaged. They settled back in Midlothian, Texas living out the rest of their beautiful thirty five years together.

Throughout her life, Cindy’s funny, loyal and resilient spirit was truly unmatched. A dedicated worker, she served as an Administrative Officer in the Nutrition and Food Service at the Veterans Affairs Hospital for 28 years, a role that she retired from with immense pride. In her time outside of work, Cindy found joy in the simple things life had to offer. She was an animal lover, especially to her dog Marley. She was an avid collector, with a special love for depression glass, Breyer horses, carousels, and salt and pepper shakers. She cherished the thrill of going to antique malls and record stores, and she found comfort in the stands at her son’s football games.

Family was the cornerstone of Cindy's life. She was a beloved wife to Jack, whom she married on July 27, 1991. Together, they shared the joy of raising their children, Alyssa, Jaclyn and Jack IV (Bub). Cindy's love for her family extended to the role of CiCi for her granddaughters, Autumn, Caira, and Skylar, and her grandsons, Deuce and Kash. Her love for her family was the driving force behind everything she did. Every room became brighter the moment she walked in, and everyone knew it. She loved to joke and be silly, and everything that she did was motivated by love, including her sharing her blunt honest opinion. That was our Cindy.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, at 6:00pm at the Midlothian Funeral Home, 200 East Avenue East, Midlothian, Texas, 76065. A funeral service will be held at FBC Midlothian, 1680 South Midlothian Parkway, Midlothian, Texas, 76065 on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1:00pm. Cindy will be laid to rest at Midlothian Cemetery, 224 South 11th Street, Midlothian, Texas, 76065 at 2:00pm. A reception in honor of Cindy's life will follow at 2:30pm at FBC Midlothian.

In honor of Cindy Freeman, we encourage you to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Her love for laughter, family, and life will forever be remembered in our hearts.
