Jerriah Onesimo Gonzales, 27, of Saratoga, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2026.
On Friday, July 31, 2026, a viewing will take place at Christian Community Church, 3512 Hwy 230, Encampment Wyoming from 10:00Am to 11:00 AM. A memorial service celebrating Jerriah’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Saratoga Cemetery following the service. At the conclusion of the services, family and friends are invited to return to the church for a meal and a time of fellowship as they continue to honor and celebrate Jerriah’s life together.
Jerriah was born on July 22, 1999, to David Gonzales and Deanna Sanderson Gonzales. He was helped raised by his grandparents Onesimo Gonzales and Susan Gonzales alongside his brother and lifelong best friend Joey Gonzales, in Saratoga, Wyoming, a place he was proud to call home. Growing up in Saratoga, he attended Saratoga High School, where he excelled on the basketball court and formed lifelong friendships that he treasured. Jerriah found happiness in the simple things. He loved hunting, fishing, listening to music, taking long drives down backroads, and going on tow jobs with Gene McDowell. His favorite color was purple, a small detail that reflected the vibrant spirit he carried with him. More than anything, Jerriah loved people. His greatest joy was checking in on those he cared about. Whether it was a phone call, a text message, or blowing up your phone just to make sure you were okay, he always wanted to know how you were doing. He had a heart that put others before himself and was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
Although Jerriah faced many hardships throughout his life, he never allowed them to harden his heart. Instead, he made it his mission to make others laugh, smile, and feel loved. He carried the weight of his own struggles quietly while doing everything he could to brighten someone else’s day. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion touched countless lives and will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his grandmother, Susan Gonzales; his parents, David Gonzales and Deanna Sanderson Gonzales; his brother and lifelong best friend, Joey Gonzales; his Aunt, Kathy Gonzales whom he loved to go shopping and talking with; his cousin and best friend, Anthony Gonzales; his siblings, Emily Gonzales, Sara Aguirre, Brian Gonzales, Leroy Gonzales, Onna-Marie Trevino, and Nico Trevino; as well as his loving nieces and nephews Saliah-Marie Trevino, Nico (Junie) Trevino, Karmah-Marie Salinas, Karismah Salinas, and Kassanovah Salinas.
Jerriah was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Onesimo Gonzales, and his uncle, Mike Gonzales.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Jerriah’s love, laughter, and compassionate spirit leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his ability to make others laugh, and the genuine love he showed to everyone around him. Whether it was in person, over the phone, or through a simple text message, Jerriah always made sure the last words he left you with were, “I love you”. Those three simple words became his signature, a reflection of the way he lived every day and the deep love he carried for his family and friends. Though he is deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched.
