Legacy Obituary changed from to Dr. Mary Lee Roach Jordan DNP, FNP-BC, age 72, of Winston, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. Dr. Jordan was born on July 27, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Cornelius Roach, III and the late Janice Sue Hewitt Roach. Throughout her life, Mary devoted herself to caring for others. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, with a BS, Nursing in 1976; Old Dominion University in 1986 with a MS-Family Nurse Practitioner, and Frontier Nursing University in 2009 with a Doctor Nurse Practitioner. She practiced continuously as a Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Associate Professor until her retirement in July, 2026. Mary also practiced as a Registered Nurse in the United Kingdom for 2 years and as a Nurse Practitioner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for 25 years until 2025, where she compassionately cared for countless Veterans. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, tole painting, dog shows, cruising, traveling, and gardening. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and is remembered for her kind heart, dedication to helping others, and the love she shared with those around her. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Will Henry Jordan of Winston; her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Meghan Jordan of Douglasville; and her two cherished grandchildren, Hunter Smith and Tyler Smith.
