Legacy Obituary changed from Jennifer Flame Herzog, age 53, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026—a date that marked exactly 30 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Ross. In typical Jennifer fashion, she ensured it was an anniversary date Ross would never forget. Jennifer’s love story with Ross began long before their wedding day. Friends since the 5th grade, the two spent 35 wonderful years building a life centered on laughter, family, and unwavering devotion. Growing up, Jennifer jokingly (and firmly) believed her name was "Flamingo"—a colorful take on her middle name, Flame, that perfectly matched the vibrant, larger-than-life spirit she carried throughout her entire life. She was the absolute glue that held everyone together. As the ultimate hostess, Jennifer welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, a full heart, and a table loaded with way too much food. When dinner was ready, her signature call of "Dish up!" echoed through the house, signaling that no one was leaving hungry. Jennifer was dedicated to everything she touched. She spent over 30 years as a loyal and valued professional in her career. Outside of work, she was happiest surrounding herself with the people and things she loved: relaxing poolside, basking on sunny beaches, setting sail on cruises, playing cards, and faithfully attending church. She had an unmistakable flair for style—never missing an opportunity to shop for clothes, shoes, purses, and makeup—and she adored her cats almost as much as she loved showering affection on her extended family. Family was everything to Jennifer. She treasured her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law—Chad & Danielle Herzog, Dean & Karen Herzog, Jason & Karen Herzog, Amy & Daniel Sarda-Herzog, and Houston Randolph—and she completely adored her nieces and nephews, spoiling them every chance she got. Above all, Jennifer was her family’s biggest cheerleader. Her absolute greatest joy was watching her boys, Alec and Ethan, play ball from the stands. She loved making people laugh and was an unmatched storyteller—always telling tales precisely "the way she remembered them," regardless of anyone else's version of events. Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Ross Herzog of Canton, GA; her cherished sons, Alec Herzog and Ethan Herzog; her mother, Susan Ingram of Canton, GA; her sister, Tia St. John of North Carolina; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph Cameron and Janice Marie Herzog; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chad & Danielle Herzog, Dean & Karen Herzog, Jason & Karen Herzog, Amy & Daniel Sarda- Herzog, and Houston Randolph; her adored nieces and nephews, Andrew Gregg, Cecilia, Rosabella, Kamryn, Brooke, Joseph, Brianna, Tiffany, Tyler, and Matthew; her second family, Della Musselman, Holly Musselman, and Gary Musselman; as well as many dear friends and extended family members.
